The summer term has started at HTW Berlin and another round of consultancy projects with international business students and SMEs! The kick-off meeting took place on 3 May 2018, a lovely spring day in Berlin. Companies and students gathered together to meet each other in person and to successfully start the work on the company projects together. The event started with a warm welcome by Christina Saulich, Project Coordinator of the INTENSE project and an introduction to the aims and outcomes of the project.

Next on the agenda was the introduction of the companies which are working with the student teams at HTW Berlin. “WITT GmbH” is an SME with 16 employees that offers solutions for measurements and technology in rough/disturbed environments as well as engineering services. Sabine Gradischek, Executive Manager (CFO / CMO) and Peter Pütz (Senior Key Account Manager) reported that the USP of the company are products that are obligatory for e.g. BVG (Berlin Public Transport) tenders. For the consultancy project, students will concentrate on the railway sector and do research on the sales potential in different European countries.  The company “Zertificon” was introduced by Andreas Nold (Chief Commercial Officer). Zertificon has 60 employees and provides secure business communication solutions. The company is interested to expand its business to the Brazilian market.

The student teams from HTW will present first results of their research to the companies mid-June 2018
